gianzanare
Hello, is there any function of placing an HDRI Image as an instance to the environment menu in vray, while also using a vray dome light with the same HDRI map? And apart from being used to view the environment in the background?
Nicolai Bongard
Create a vrayhdri material, load your HDRI into it, drag it into the slots of both the environment and the vray dome light. Whatever adjustments you do to the vray hdri material will apply to both instances.
ahmeds
From what I've heard from various tutorials, the reason you put the HDRI in the environment slot is for when you have Vray plane lights in Portal mode, it will take its intensity from the environment map not from the dome light.
