Michael Pickard
Hello, Anybody have any ideas/advice on how to turn a normal brick texture into a herringbone style brick within Photoshop or something else. I have attached the brickwork that i want in Herringbone style but cant think of a way to change it to Herringbone. Thanks in advance Michael
Stephen Thomas
Do you have access to Photoshop? If so you could cut and paste the individual bricks to create a new texture. Just set up a grid that works with your texture size and turn on snaps. Once complete you can flatten and use adjustment layers or high pass filter to create your bump and specular maps. James Vella
easiest way for me personally is use Floorgenerator or Railclone herringbone preset. Then put in the multitexture the cropped version of say 6 of those bricks from your current texture and let the plugin do the rest (vary hue/gamma) for 20x more variation
Michael Pickard
Thanks guys, I don't have access to Railclone or a floor generator so looks like im going to have to do it the Photoshop way. Thanks very much Michael
Lewis Garrison
Id save yourself the headache an buy floor generator. It's only like 20 bucks and you'll definitely use it again and again.
