How do i set vray HDRI Sky to cast good shadow or VRAY sun not to affect diffuse

How do i combine Vray sun and HDRI Sky to achieve realistic rendering

Please i am finding it difficult to achieve great shadow with HDRI sky, and also realistic rendering using vray sun alone,without affecting the diffuse of object in the scene. So i will like to know how best to combine both to achieve great shadow and realism.

May i know you are rendering a exterior or interior scene ?

Both have different ways for creating a combination . Else if you can share a screenshot of the scene that would help to understand in a better way .
