3ds max v2021 - initial experiences?

Hi All,

Has anyone tried the new 3dsMax 2021 yet?

As always we're keen to get the latest version of 3ds Max up an running, but from experience we find it's extremely glitchy until at least a few updates later, .. so anyone with any initial experiences / problems? ..or is it all rosey with 2021?

Only been using it for a few weeks (after sticking with 2018 for as long as I possibly could), and no real problems as of yet! In fact so far it has been pretty solid, though I haven't pushed it in any way regarding heavy scenes or using the tear off viewports and such up to this point.

yeah I only used it for one month, but I was very happy with it. Seemed solid - I had no crashes or issues. And there are some cool new features. But like Brian I didn't push it too far - my max scene was 55MB...with quite a lot of plant objects and Forest Pack & Railclone, which it seemed to handle well.

Hi Terri / Brian,

Thanks for the feedback! we've also installed it now and so far so good  ..no surprises (it still crashes when we try to select a viewport camera by double-clicking from the list instead of hitting the "OK" button, but this is not new so we are used to it).
