New Monitor advice...

Recommended Posts

I just built a new computer - consisting of:

ASUS Prime Z390-A
Intel i9-9900KF
Cooler Master MA620P CPU cooler
Intel 665p M.2 1TB SSD (OS)
Intel 665p M.2 1TB SSD (DATA)
NVIDIA RTX 2060 8GB
Corsair Vengeance LPX (4x16GB) DDR4 3600
Antec HCG850W Gold
Windows 10 Professional
LG 27GL83A-B QHD G-SYNC

(Any thoughts appreciated)

The real surprise is the monitor. By necessity I have to keep my old computer running and so have it SXS my new build. The LG sitting next to the HP ZR24w that AJLynn recommended, 8-years ago, it is stunning how badly the HP has degraded, and I now suspect that the monitor may be the cause of some eye fatigue I have recently attributed to growing older than dirt...

I think I am going to have to buy a second LG monitor for the old computer.

What a difference a monitor makes!

I can't take it!

I ordered a new monitor for the old machina - not an exact twin but it will do: LG 27GN750-B 27 Inch Full HD 1ms and 240HZ Monitor with G-SYNC (old computer has NVIDIA GTX 980 so it will run it).

Geez that old HP is tired.

How is BenQ PD3220U as I seen Hugo Desk over Youtube recommend

I've got the BenQ PD2720U (the same, but 27" - bought very recently), and have been really impressed so far.

So - I had a very disappointing experience with the ASUS motherboard. Long story short they are not what they used to be in terms of quality or customer service; I would not buy one again. I replaced it with a Gigabyte Z390 AORUS Ultra which has been rock solid.

Added something called StatMenu8 to Windows 10 - FAN-TASTIC! Windows 7 Classic start menu! ?

Beautiful lil computer. The LG monitors are something else!
