Techniques on window reflections 3ds max + Vray

It would help if you post some renders so we can get a point of reference. Some information regarding what settings you are using, what the material settings are etc. More information the better for us to determine what could help your specific situation.

Windows aren't as transparent as they seem. Try an 80% transparent glass material: 204 in the refraction color for VRay. Blinn BRDF type (my personal opinion for glass) and separate your IOR for Reflection and Refraction so that you can decide on the value of IOR Reflection you like without overly distorting what you see through the glass.

Is your glass model an actual thin sheet with like 1/4" thickness?  With vray you need to have some thickness for glass to work correctly, and entrance and exit point.  I single 2d plane won't work.  I actually even model my windows with two sheets of glass to mimic most modern insulated windows.
