Stephan Dupont
Hi, I have a problem with the textures of an imported object. When I render, the polygons of the object in question become visible and it looks like the light is not applied correctly to the object (see attached image). The original object file was in .DWG, exported in .FBX, then saved in .MAX Does anyone have a solution? Thanks a lot
James Vella
This appears to be a geometry problem not texturing. Try re-export the object, enable smoothing groups or try a few different settings.
Francisco Penaloza
You can import DWG in to 3DsMax. actually it will give you more flexibility than an FBX. You can also link it, then you can choose geometry resolution and smoothing. Having said all that, after import, you need to weld vertex, regenerate smooth groups, maybe check normal orientation. That should fix those issues.
