Check out the set of scripts Align Pivot - a powerful tool to manage pivots in 3ds Max with ease.
This set of scripts includes several modes to align your pivot to the object’s bounding box or surface, set the pivot to the object’s local or world coordinates, and even offset the pivot to the center. What’s more, the script might be applied to all selected objects, including closed groups, making it extremely convenient and efficient.
Besides, you can align the pivot to a specific point on the object’s surface, or even use snap alignment to vertex, bounding box, or face center.
