Hello,

I'm using Max 2010 with Vray 2

My problem is the VrayHDRI in my scene.

The Horiz. rotation works as expected and I can turn the HDRI as I need.

I have a problem with Vert. roatation. When I'm start change the rotation level I can see the HDRI rotate like it has a pivot on scene left side instead of move it up or down as expected.

Please advice for any idea why it moves like this.

Regards,

Yeah. I caught what he meant. I was reading the Spot3D page on VrayHDRI and noticed that basically nothing worked properly with Max Standard Mapping. Doubt it is the answer, but figured I would put it out there.

True on the "shouldn't need to move your HDRI up and down." If the map doesn't have a horizon at mid point, you can always set the map to offset by 0.5 and then untick tiling in the vertical direction. or just double the height in PS then add a black base.

Thanks.

I'm using HDRI sphirical mapping type.

On the Coordination section I'm using Environ mode with sphirical environment mapping.

In my scene I need to change background vertically as it shouldn't show the grass from the 3rd. floor appartment I'm rendring.

It works OK for horizantal rotation.
