  1. You need to tell us what all are your workflows and requirements so that we could suggest you the best!
  2. Hey, have you purchased your Threadripper build? I hope you have pumped up power supply...... from where you are buying? System Integrator or DIY?
  3. Hey Guys! I'm the keen follower of this amazing forum and after reading relevant topics and getting suggestions, feedbacks etc I decided to get one Workstation for y for Deep Learning Workflows and CPU Based rendering (basically my sister shall be doing some CPU based rendering and I will be doing deep learning workflows) After so much consultation and visiting multiple stores in New Delhi and getting confused...!! I resorted to well-known system integrator in my country called Ant PC. Here's what I got: CPU: AMD Threadripper 1950X GPU: Dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X399 E GAMING Ram: 128GB G.Skill Ripjaws V 2400Mhz DDR4 HDD: 8TB WD Cabinet: Corsair Crystal Series 570X RGB CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X72 (360mm) PSU: Cooler Master V1200A SSD: 1 TB SAMSUNG 970 EVO NVMe SSD OS: Genuine Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit I got it for around 4.8 Lakhs including warranties and onsite support.. which was quite a deal considering solution... Nevertheless, I can hold their collars if it's not according to requirement Images of my build I have attached...
  4. In simpler term, Quadro is best for Professional Tasks and GeForce are best for Gaming..
  5. The Build is Good.. if it is very affordable but again you need to understand that this build is Old as well as nowadays Xeon V4 series or Scalable series are there plus the RAM should be DDR4 ECC Generation .... Go for 2TB HDD considering your requirements if you are going in RAID Configuration then 4TB (1 TB each) should work. Also, consider having SSD of 120 GB atleast. GPU should be of P series like P2000 or P4000. For the perfect solution, I shall also suggest you to consult system integrators like Pugetsystems, Boxx or Ant PC etc. as well so as to get better reliable yet crafted for your workstation.
  6. Hey since you are from India you can consult many system integrators like Ant PC for the perfect solution, if you are not into DIY. If you are I would suggest you: CPU- ryzen 2700x or should i go for Thread Ripper 1920x ? ---- > Go For Threadripper GPU - 1070ti ? or does quadro have major difference in rendering ? ( quadro p4000) ----> Quadro is more reliable and professional applications centric but are expensive. Ram - gskill ripjaw or trizent z 64gb 3200 mhz ------> Overkill it is You can easily go for G.Skill Ripjaws V 2400 Mhz ssd - samsung 970 evo --- > How much memory? Again 970 Overkill save your money and go for 860 hdd - 2tb x 2 --> Go for WD HDD what cooler or fan should i use ? case ? ---- ? If you are going for 2700X Stock is good and for Threadripper Cooler Maser ML240L and for Case if you can opt for Cooler Master H500P Hope this helps.. if you have already purchased the system do share with us your build images.
  7. Safe side go for Pro for better compatibility although these software could run on Home version as well, but go for Pro as many software OEM ask for Pro for their software to run properly. My Ant PC Workstation for 3D Animation runs 3DS Max on Windows 10 Pro flawlessly I have heard there are some modules compatibility issues with home.
  8. Hi, You could go for: -> Intel Core i7 8700 - CM Hyper 212X or any other good air cooler -> Intel H370 Chipset based motherboard -> 16GB DDR4 Ram with atleast 2400 Mhz frequency -> 250GB SSD SATA Samsung 860 EVO or WD -> 1TB HDD 7200RPM -> Any Mid tower cabinet liek MB500 --> 600W PSU bronze certified any brand. For pre-built systems you could have gone for Boxx or Ant PC but since you will be DIY'ng make sure you do wiring properly, not doubting you but concerned, as this will be your workstation. Thanks.
  9. Hi, Well that's a very tight budget but I shall recommend you generic parts and you can select any brand of the component: -> Intel Core i7 8700 -> Any Intel H370 Chipset based motherboard -> 16GB DDR4 Ram with atleast 2400MHz frequency -> NVIDIA Quadro P1000 4GB DDR5 Graphics -> 250GB SATA SSD you can go for Samsung or WD SSD -> 1 TB HDD of 7200RPM -> 600W Power Supply Unit. Buy atleast Bronze certified. -> Any mid tower cabinet like Cooler Master MasterBox MB500 You can either do DIY build or can contact brands like Boxx or Ant PC for getting pre-built systems, more or less depends upon you.. since you said you are not looking for DIY make sure you get follow typical building safety procedures since this will be the workstation and thus should be reliable.
