  1. How can I change the morph modifier axis to work correctly with my model?? They have same topology but different axis order, so I don't know what to do. I tried reset Xform, re-export fbx with z-axis, and nothing works https://youtu.be/7FkKP_3cD8Q help.max
  2. Good evening and hello to all fellow CG Architects =) I am kinda new to the program (came from a looong perion in sketchup) and I am having trouble with 1 simple operation: When I have a complex CAD plan that involves a lot of angles, assuming I use Rectangle Splines to do my walls and extrude, how do I line up my axis for each time I need a new rectange angle? In skethcup if I need a rectangle done based on some non axis angle, I can use the "realign axis" command and realign the axis along the lines I need, then the rectangle will come out lined up with the new "temporary" axis...how does something like that gets done in 3dsMax? (TLDR: how to switch my axis so I can make rectangular splines line up with my angular CAD rooms instead of creating the rectangles based on world axis?) Thank you and sorry for the confusing question. Hope you can help!!! =)
  3. i have an issue with scaling lately in 3ds max design 2015. i want to basically scale something one the z axis, BUT i only want it to go in the positive direction. when i scale uniformly (i've actually tried with all scale tools), it goes an equal distance in both the positive and negative directions. is there a way to fix this so it only goes either just in the positive direction or just in the negative direction? any help/insight is greatly appreciated. thanks!
  4. I have searched everywhere for the solution. I set an object's pivot point to be aligned with another object and accidentally saved the file. the problem is now that object is locked on the z axis and can't be moved along that axis and if i go to they hierarchy and say effect pivot only and move the pivot along that axis the pivot stays still but the object moves in the opposite direction, also when i did that it got squashed weirdly. now i can't seem to find a way to unlock it I have tried object constraints, my gismo IS there so pressing x is not the problem, i have tried pressing space bar that doesn't make any difference, it is not locked in the "Link info" section on they hierarchy tab. I can't find the fault please help.
  5. I've been having a play around with 3ds max 2011, what's the deal with the change to the snaps/axis constraints? In 2010 I could have vertex snap on, select an object's vertex and move it in either x,y or z axis easily. Now some annoying little yellow circle appears and the snap seems to take over and disables my axis constraints. Anyone else experienced this? Please help me out before I snap!
