This is a great resource Jeff. I tried something similar over at Vizdepot but I couldn't get enough participation. Inspiration is very valuable in our industry. I can't wait to see the final list. I hope it's very long because there are countless artists / companies that could hold the #1 spot.

Here are some that I haven't seen listed yet.

Here's a Belgian freelance CG artist.

He has some nice renders, and it would be cool if Belgium is in the list :D

Here another Belgian firm I want to show all of you...the don't have the best renders, but I love their introduction video on how they work, what ArchVIZ is from beginning till final result.

Eric Schuldenfrei represents one of those individuals who takes visualization way, way, WAY beyond just trying to get a rendering to look as real as possible. He pushes the limits in every respect; every project challenges the preconceived notions of what it means to be a visualization specialist. A former Director at dBox, no one has influenced my work more.

Eric is the individual that constantly reminds me that what we do can be more than just a craft - it can be an art.

No doubt some of the work from China is good. However, in a business such as ours that relies heavily on intellectual property rights, how are the Chinese doing in that regard? This is an honest question, I really don't personally know. But it seems that China has a reputation for ignoring the concept of intellectual property. Are they doing better now or in this particular profession?

That is a completely unfair generalization. I would have to agree that China has 'a reputation', but its a big country. I don't think we can paint everybody in it with the same brush. I know you asked rather than stating it as a fact, but the assumption that we might want to discount our Chinese colleagues from being a top arch-vis firm because of concerns over respecting artistic morals or business licenses is wrong, I feel.

You are right, there are some beautiful images on http://www.hoppearchitektura.pl. One thing I have noticed is that it is rare you get a company who is strong in all areas. You see companies with amazing interiors but second rate exteriors, or the other way around. Then there is the companies who have great interiors and exteriors but there animations don't hold up. Companies like Uniform that manage to be strong in all areas impress me the most. Just a personal opinion.
