NeoTeo
Hello everyone. This is a Vray on Rhino question. I have spent a few days on and off trying to sort out a render of a large building with a facade of many smaller coloured glass panes. All the panes are given the same material, but it seems no matter which glass I pick, from the default Rhino glass material to various glass vismats I have found on the net, I always get a pattern of coloured and non-coloured panes. I have included an image of the unwanted effect in the hope that it is something you have seen before and know the cause of. I use only GI lighting, and i use the fog colour to tint the glass. Thanks in advance for any hints Teo
magnustagmus
It looks to me like you made the panes just at surfaces without any specific thickness. If this is the case, Vray will handle your glass as if it was infinitive thick and the color you see is actually reflections from the buildings construction/interior. NeoTeo
Thank you so much Magnus! That was exactly what I had done wrong. Hope others who might make this mistake sees this and save themselves hours of frustrations. Teo
