victor33
:confused:Set up VRAY 1.50 DR with 1 server and 1 client. It works. However, the outcome is the color brightness of those cells rendered by server is different from those rendered from a client. There is no warning in the log and everything appears to be fine. I tried it on another set of computers. Same problem. What could have gone wrong ? Please kindly shade some light.
Spooner04
you would probably get the best answer at the chaos group forums.
ihabkal
that used to happen in older beta versions...
Bullet
This happens with strip rendering as well. It's because each computer solves the lighting solution a little differently and so each strip and i'm assuming each bucket comes out a little brighter or darker than the other. Try render out an IR pass and have both computers use that file. This should solve your problem since both machines will be using the same lighting calculation. Hope this helps. Dave Buchhofer
If you're using any sort of Gamma correction, either via the autogamma or max gamma you need to set the slave machines to the same Gamma values. I dont know of a way that works without actually having to open max on the slave machines, so hopefully you haven't blown your trials yet
Thablanch
Do you have any .ies lights? If yes, are they UNC path? the light information from the slave machine could be different if the slave ( or BB) machine can not locate the .ies file. Or a link to the HDR file, in the same way, can cause this kinda of problem.
victor33
I tried all suggestions so far, not helpful. My proposition is simple:- 1. I use the same CD to install the master and slave machine. 2. Same setting. 3. When I render, the irrandiance map was transmitted to the slave machine as it reported in the log file. 4. The design should be in such a way I render in the master machine, everything needed should be sent across the network. Right ? 5. If so, I wonder if it is a software bug for 1.50 RC5, somebody suggested it was a beta bug.
