WAcky
Heya, My first script I've published. This script will create Multimatteelements based on your selected objects. It has some properties you can select as seen in the image below. It will also warn you if any of your selected objects have ID's that will conflict with the selected range as well as asking if you would like to make these conflicting objects your current selection. I struggled to get this done in my spare time so if there are any issues with it I'll try to fix them but I may not have time to. Please post any issues or requests/changes you would like. Drag into the viewport to install and it will be under a category named "jb_tools" Cheers! ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Guest mutkakokudka
Hey thanks a lot! Thats really great piece of script which saves a lot of work. I tried it but i cannot get working multimatte render element with opacity maps, i know the problem is not your scipt but do you know how can i use opacity maps correclty with multimatte?! (i am using vray SP2) thank you
WAcky
i cant imagine it would work. I would suggest you try out this script for the objects with opacity maps as it will retain opacity maps if you tell it to.
Oleksandr Kramer
i cant imagine it would work. I would suggest you try out this script for the objects with opacity maps as it will retain opacity maps if you tell it to. Simple: Make difuse color white and off diffuse map Opacity not change... It's all.
Guest mutkakokudka
I checked this script and it's very useful...unfortunately i cannot use it as an render elements pass, that means i have to launch a new render for minimum every 3 (if used RGB) or 4 (if used CMYK) wire colours. Or i should use black and white mask and launch a new render for every mask. It will be more useful for me if i can make multimatte element work with transaprecncy as i can put as much multimatte elements as i want at the same time....thanks anyway, greets
WAcky
I'm not too sure what you mean. I just tried the script with opacity mapped objects and the elements seem to work fine.
Guest mutkakokudka
Yeah, i know there is not a problem with opacity maps. I just meant that is a little more time consuming if i have to mask different objects with that script than with multimatte r. element. If i mask with multimatte i usually make like 3 or 4 instances of the render element so i can make 12 obj id's at the same time (therefore calculating one render only). The problem : no opacity maps function in my vray sp2. If i have to use Render Mask i have to launch a single render for every mask in order to have one mask for a channel, that makes 12 renders , or i have to use wirecolour tool which is anyway limited to 3 Obj Id' (if RGB) for a render (that makes 4 renders for 12 obj Id)...i hope know i am clearer If u have any idea how that might works it's welcome greets
