dpizarrom
Hi! I was just looking some options for a new videocard and found the Quadro FX 1800. Does anyone know whats the difference between this card and lets say the GTX260? Does it affect rendering time? Any information about the card is appreciated! ihabkal
I have two older generations, the 1400, the 1500, I am still using the 1500 everyday. I am having problems with memory (too small, only 256GB), but it is still a good card. My guess is if you can afford the 1800 get it. rendering time won't be affected because it is not reliant on the card, only on screen manipulation of the 3d models is. and games. By the way the 1500 still plays todays's games at medium to good settings.
Dave Buchhofer
theres quite a few threads about quadro vs consumer cards, in a nutshell: if (mainlyUsing_OpenGL) then { ++quadro; } elseif (mainlyUsing_DirectX) { ++gamingcard; }
