Sassmouth
Hi. I am trying to re-create this material (url below) in V-Ray, but am having trouble figuring it out. I found a standard material that creates an x-ray effect with falloff maps, but it wasn't nearly as subtle. I've tried ambient occlusion (V-Ray Dirt maps), trying combinations in several channels; diffuse, reflect, transparency, opacity, etc., but haven't come close. I'd appreciate any suggestions or insight. http://www.futuretimeline.net/21stcentury/images/organ_replacement.jpg Thanks, Steve
TAKA
Don't complicate things. This can simply be done with a standard material. If this is what you're looking for, then just download the attached zip file. Its a material library with 2 mats: one with double sided enabled and one disabled (u can either see or not see the backface of the object). Assign it to whatever objects u have and render. No need for any lighting whatsoever. Use the default lights if needed. One last touch would be to add a very very subtle glow in PS or AE (After effects). Hope that helps
