Hello,

I was wondering what are some problems that architects and architectural visualization experts face on a day to day basis, when working on projects and dealing with clients ?

The reason why i`m asking is because i`m working on a new article that aims to point them out, so it would be a tremendous help if you could let me know some of your opinions.

Thank you!

Clients change their mind all the time, designs get changed the night before submission and you have to pull an all nighter. Cleints take two months to pay. Clients thinking $500 is too much money (yeah it happens). Clients making bad design decisions and insist on implementing them and then regretting that and ask you to revert back to a previous solution. Clients don't respond to e-mails while they are changing their design and leave you in the dark working on obsolete data. Clients not sending e-mails and prefer to call and give you notes on the phone so that there are no records of their mistakes in English grammar or of their design changes. Clients who say we don't use e-mail what is that, e-mail? Clients who ask you to come to their office in rush hour several times a day to get changes. Relatives who are clietns who don't pay at all (that is the worst kind).

ihabkal - I see that archviz clients are this same all over the world. :)

Worst clients i use to work is something like chain of command. It's when your visualization going from one person to another and everyone is writing their suggestions. So for example you geting back comments from 5 different persons when most of suggestions excludes the other and you have no idea which one is right.

The clients don't know what they want and keep changing their mind.

The clients don't have a realistic idea of their budget nor what their ideas for a project will cost.

The clients want a custom design at a standard design cost.

The clients picked a radical architect and should have picked a traditional one.

The project can't be carried out on the space/land provided for it.
