NoodleLuff
Evening all I am currently trying to import a .DWG in to 3DS Max 2011. The error message, which pops up after the standard import dialog boxe sayd "unable to attach this file; the file may missing, corrupted, or not contain valid data" It opens fine with rhino though. . . so maybe a max thing? Anyone had the before? Anybody kind enough to help me sort it?! Thanks in advance guys Alain
battjes2006
Have you tried saving the .dwg file down to cad 2000 or cad 2004 and then importing it? Sometimes that helps me out when I get weird error messages...might not be of help though.
acjwalker
If the 2204 does not work, open the dwg. Purge everything not being used, explode everything and after that select every thing and type brep and press enter. Then give it a go
NoodleLuff
Hi thanks for the response I don't know how to do that in microstation. I have had this error before, and then (as stupid as it sounds) the next day it just imported fine. Very odd Thanks again
