Chris8173
Hi Guys, Fairly new to these forums so not to sure if this is the correct place to post a problem for 3ds max. Im having issues trying to find the evironments rollout in the rendering drop down section of 3ds max (number 8). When i click it, for some reason the environments tab doesnt appear on my screen. Its ticked.. but no window :S It was fine the other day, and now it just doesnt appear on my screen at all. I have two screens and it isnt on the second one either.. Someone please help
datacrasher
what happens if you do it the normal way by going to rendering and effects menu? if this does not work then i would restart max reboot you're computer and start it max again see if it appears if not then i would locate the max.ini file and delete it and restart you're computer and autodesk will replace it. i don't know where the new versions are it should be located at C:\Documents and Settings\username/\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\3dsmax - 32bit or 64 bit\enu
Josef Wienerroither
The window is probably open, but sitting offscreen. Did you change your monitor config recently maybe ? eg. from 2 to one monitor or so ? Anyways, to bring back your dialogs, i recommend the following script http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/give-me-back-my-dialogs It let's you bring the various Max dialogs back to the currend monitor... Stephen Thomas
Could be off-screen. When you select the window, hit Alt+Spacebar then choose Move and use the arrow keys to get it back in place.
