rhlkvr15
Hi, good day guys, Can any professionals please explain how to get light bounces in vray as shown in the image (red marked), especially in the corners of the white wall, just confused if it is some kind of material settings or Render settings that created such effects. i need to create those effects. hope to get a favourable reply...... thankyou....... Corey Beaulieu
That is not so much an effect as it is likely an error. What you see are "light leaks." It is likely that the person who modeled that building did so without closing up the back of it and the sun is making its way through the building. It is also very likely that rather than shelling the walls, the modeler only used extruded splines. If you are just looking for light scalloping on your walls, try an IES light. The most common file should be easy to find, it's call "nice1"- just google for it. The whole point of AO/Dirt is that light darkens at corners and therefore the "effect" you are seeing is the exact opposite of what should be going on. Scott Schroeder
That's not an effect you'd see in real life unless that surface was a highly reflective metal and that would only happen in the direct sun light. It would never occur on the shaded side of the building. As Corey said, it's more than likely a Vray error, be it a light leak or incorrect GI bounce. Why do you need to create something that would never really happen in real life?
Nic H
id say the diffuse value of that material is too high - or its bad irradiance map setting
Chris MacDonald
Why are you trying to immitate a render artifact/error?
