trobben
I am new to 3d max and Vray, and I am having some problems by making reflection in my glass. I hope somebody can help me, to get nice realistic glass, with nice reflections. Thankx.
cg_Butler
I'd unlock the fresnel ior and increase the fresnel ior value so you get more reflectivity...
salvador
Andy is right. Don't overdo it or you will end up with a mirror. Bear in mind that the interior is quite dark and this doesn't help with the reflections; also, consider the thickness of your glass. You should use at least 10mm in 3d to have a nice effect. Thin plates don't work well.
Matt Sugden
I always add sky reflection in post. I create a matte material for the glass and then use that as a selection in photoshop, use this with a layer of cloudy type image, much easier to control than trying to do it in max. Matt Sugden
Ps personally I'd worry more about getting your brick textures a bit more accurate on the front.

trobben
Thanks for all you're reactions, I am trying it all. Next problem is the way I tiled my roof. It is a map from one of the firms who makes them. But The texture is black, but when rendered it is grey. All other tips are welcome!
cg_Butler
Are you using gamma correction? If you want the map to be darker, can you just darken it in photoshop, or add a colour correction in max.
