mihailescuana
I've been having this problem now with this rendering. It's basically that on the walls and some other things like desk are appearing those little light spots. I'm attaching a picture with the settings I'm using:
jensandersen
Hi Dina Try and watch this free tutorial by Grant Warwick: after that you'll be able to optimize your renders really well.

jasonstewart
Use Adaptive DMC as the AA sampler set to 1:8 or higher if you see necessary. Color threshold is way too high at .1, .01 is acceptable in most cases but not higher unless you are just doing quick previews. It would be good to use some render elements to see where you noise is coming from. Just looking at it it seems to be from whatever lights are in your scene but VrayRawLighting or VrayLighting would confirm that. The AA is not dealing with the noise so it remains. Pick a noisy part of the image with a region render and up your light subdivisions until you are getting clean lighting and the SampleRate render element is solid blue except for geometric edges. You could also use "Universal Settings" its very easy and in Vray 3.0 it is quite fast actually and you wont be chasing settings like you will if you try to manually optimize all your settings. I would personally recommend this method as it seems like your settings are a bit all over the place. Still a good idea to have some Render Elements enabled because they will be helpful in post and you can see and attack any noise slowing down your render. Marco Manunta
yes like grant warwick says, you need at least to activated these render elements : Vray Lighting it helps you see if the problem is of your lights subdivisions Vray Reflection " " reflections subdivisions Vray Global Illumination " " with the GI subdivisions. if you take a look at these, you will find your problem by tweaking these numbers.
