Chris MacDonald
You need to change your forest display settings to show the mesh before you convert it to one, otherwise you'll just end up converting a point cloud or box or whatever to a mesh. ashoksingh
Hi chris, Thanks for the reply, your solution is working on normal mesh but i am using the vray proxy mesh inside the custom object. in this case mesh is not visible in render. Chris MacDonald
Right, so the geometry you have used in forest pack is the VRay Proxy? Switch the Vray Proxy AND forest pro to display mesh. You may have to update/refresh the geometry in forest pro, but it should work.
ashoksingh
Chris - am using the forest pack lite version. Will it work here? Could you please explain a little detailed- perhaps step by step? Doing this for the first time
Chris MacDonald
Set the Vray Proxy to "show whole mesh". Then set forest pro to display "mesh". Then you can convert forest pro to an editable mesh.
ashoksingh
Chris - am using vray 3.00. Looks like the "show whole mesh" option is available in version 3.3. How to work this out?
