kelsmith
Is it possible to clamp exponential value to say, for example '200' (instead of default '255')? I'm getting white burnt areas around window and thought this solution would help. Exponential – this mode will saturate the colors based on their brightness. This can be useful to prevent burn-outs in very bright areas (for example, around light sources, etc.). This mode will clamp colors so that no value exceeds (255, or 1 in floating point value) Thanks for reading. Kelvin.
Francisco Penaloza
have you tried reducing your light intensity?? if Exponential can't clap it, it may mean that it is way too strong. Try Reinhard with a very low burn value instead. Or you could use any other clamp color options in VRay too. But to me, your light it is too bright or you are using bright colors. Chris MacDonald
You can clip it to 200 using the "clamp output", if that's what you mean? It'll look crap though. If you set clamp output to .79 it should clamp the highest values at RGB 201. I don't advise this.
kelsmith
Thanks for your replies. I see what I'm asking for is ill-advised. I'll have another play, see how I fair. Thanks again.
