thunguyen
Hi everyone, I'm rendering an exterior view and want to show a photo as the background image. I expected the background image to stay the same as it was, however it becomes quite dark and there's a glowing spot in the render image. Please see attached file. Note that the sun in the scene is actually behind the house, to the left. So I don't know why in the render image, there's a glow in the right hand corner. I'm using 3ds Max 2016 and Vray Adv 3.20.02. How to get rid of that glow? Any advice is much appreciated.
driedgrape
Probably vignetting on your camera. Try unchecking that. For your BG i would suggest using a plane aligned with your camera, and a vray light material with your Image and 'Compensate for camera exposure' checked. thunguyen
It works. Thank you so much, John. I have been struggling for so many days with this issue, trying to find where I went wrong. As for the background image. I normally bump up the RGB level to match the camera exposure.
