3dsMax and Vray Crash once render is finished

Hi There! hoping you can help,

 

Each time i render in Max (2016) with Vray (3.2) it goes through all pre-passes and rendering the image and then just crashes before i can save any files - literally just freezes with no error messages.

I have ensured i have the 64bit version of 3ds max installed and i have used the same vray settings on other workstations without an issue with the same versions of the software.

it definitely isn't hardware either (CPU 7700k with 32GB 3200 Corsair RAM)

 

any help would be appreciated
