lazarpetric
I just can't understand why sweep modifier won't follow the shape, that's all. Here's the picture
Nicolai Bongard
There is no picture in your post. Anyway; you may try to create a spline from scratch by drawing it manually (with snaps onto your geometry if required). More often than not, when i select edges of geometry to create a spline, then try to sweep some profile on it, the resulting shape ends up twisted. If the problem is that the profile is following your shape but offset by some distance, you can try to change the pivot point of your sweep profile, or correct the offset with the x/y movement in the sweep modifier. Also, you may try to turn on and off banking in the sweep modifier to see if it helps. Either way, it is hard to help you without some pictures to get a clear understanding of what the problem actually is.

James Vella
delete the sweep modifier, reset xform on you shape, try sweep modifer again
Chris Harris
Either what James said or make sure your pivot point of the object you are trying to sweep on the line is on one of the vertices...top ones or bottom, whichever.
Kirsten Zirngibl
In case you haven't already, doublecheck that under "Sweep Parameters" the X and Y are zeroed out.
