Jakub Raczyński
Hi, I created a room, with 4 walls. Each one of them have different material (paint, ceramic tiles, wood panels). Created Poly IDs for each of the wall to be able using "Multi/Sub-object material" assing 4 different materials. However i need to eddit scale and mapping of ceramic tiles, but when i do it using "UVW Map" it changes the way other walls looks like (paint, wood panels). Can someone please help me to understand how to do it properly? Thanks, Jakub
Casey Hawley
Stack the UVW Maps. Select the polys you want then add the UVW Map modifier without deselecting the polys. Adjust the UV Map as needed. Then add another Edit Poly on top and repeat. The trick is the polys need to stay selected in poly mode.
Silicon Valley infomedia Pvt. Ltd.
To fix UV mapping issues with different materials: Edit UVs for Each Material Separately: Select the wall with ceramic tiles and adjust the UVs in the UV editor for only that wall. Use Different UV Channels: Assign unique UV channels for each material. For example, use UV channel 1 for ceramic tiles and channel 2 for wood panels. Check Material Assignments: Ensure Poly IDs are correctly assigned in your Multi/Sub-Object material setup. Avoid UV Overlaps: Ensure UVs for each material don’t overlap.
