  1. Hello everyone! My colleague and I have been trying to wrap our heads around the Archviz conference circuit recently since our boss has promised he would send us to one this year. I just wanted to see what conferences you all recommend and start a general discussion about attending conferences and how to get the most out of them. I saw a really good thread from 2017 and thought we could talk about 2019. (Let me know if this thread already exists) So far, we're looking at: D2 because we've heard it's awesome. Total Chaos because Chaos Group is awesome. And ASAI because it seems like the only good archviz focused conference in the US/NA-we're in western Massachusetts. Of course, I could be totally wrong there. I've been to Siggraph, which I really enjoyed, but since it's for work this time I want to go to one that is archviz specific. THU sounds amazing, of course, but similar issues there. Would love to hear what you guys think of the above in terms of who's going where this year, good/bad experiences, recommendations, cost, etc.
  2. Hi there everyone, Jason here, one of the organizers of the D2 Conference in Vienna. I am a longtime CGarchitect member, but have not been active in the forums for some time. About a week ago, I came across a post in the forum related to 2019 conferences and noticed there was some discussion about the D2 there as well. The D2 is taking place this year on August 23rd and 24th. The day before, on August 22nd, there will be some limited workshops as well as our traditional opening party, which will most like consist of a modeling battle or something similar. I thought I would start this post for anyone to ask questions or give feedback about the D2, so fire away! I will also drop information here from time to time as we get closer to the main event. Look forward to hear from all of you and hope to see you in Vienna in August. Jason
  3. Hi All, I just wanted to mention the ASAI is on tomorrow if you happen to be in Toronto: http://www.asai.org/AIP30ConferenceSchedule Guest speakers are Neoscape, Cicada Design, Headgear, Richard Johnson, Michael Mccann and VRay!
  4. I'm looking to upgrade our television in our conference room and was wondering if you guys had any ideas or experience with this. The TV we currently have is outdated and the images are often washed out. We mostly use the display when hooked up to a laptop (S-video) for presentation with clients and meetings with consultants. The problem is the colors on the TV don't match what we see on our computers, even after spending countless amounts of time messing with the picture settings. Maybe there is an alternative to a television that I don't know about, like a glorified monitor or display... Needs to be wall mounted, and about 38"x61" which equals to about a 70" TV. We also need cad drawings and black and white contrast to be top notch. Any help would be appreciated, I tried searching for this stuff on my own, but failed at finding the right words to search for in search engines.
