  1. Studio/Institution: Architectural Nexus Genre: Commercial Exterior Software: 3DS Max - V-Ray - PS Description: I'm new, I've been rendering for about 6 months, and I wanted to get some advice and feedback from those in the industry. Feel free to nit-pick! I know there are some small detail items I missed, but this was a conceptual rendering of sorts, so I wasn't totally going for photo-realistic. Thoughts?
  2. Studio/Institution: INFX Studio, Chicago Client: confidential Genre: Commercial Exterior Software: Max VRay PS Website: http://www.INFXstudio.com Description: Hotel in Florida. This image is to be discarded in favor of a higher, broader shot... which will be tremendously ugly, so I figured I'd give this one an outing. I like the composition so Ill continue to work on it, filling out the background and uplight more of the palms. Maybe add a few people. Its all 3d with the exceptions of the rocky outcrop left and the sky. Rendered at 6k, this one is compressed for web, 3k. Feedback and suggestions welcome. Tom.
  3. Studio/Institution: Vizcraft Genre: Residential Interior Software: 3dsmax 2013, V-ray 2.4, Photoshop CS6 Description: Hello guys, I have been commissioned to make a few interior images for a project based in Goa, India. After many attempts, i am not sure what is going wrong, and i am lost. Would really appreciate some help, on how to improve the render.
  4. Studio/Institution: The3DCie Client: Self training Genre: Residential Exterior Software: LightWave Website: http://flic.kr/ps/2zxmzW Description: Hello there, my first post on CGArchitect, mighty impressed by the overall quality of renders on this website ! As i have started doing a bit more architectural visualization recently i thought i would post my work as well, even if it's far from being as impressive as what one can find from the masters here ! Anyway, any comment welcome (but don't be too rude !) and in the meantime i'll post some more renders. Thanks for reading, Cheers, Laurent.
  5. Studio/Institution: Glavan Imageworks Genre: Residential Exterior Software: 3DS Max, VRAY, Photoshop Description: This project was the conversion of a State Building into luxury residential apartments.
  6. Studio/Institution: BVH Architects Genre: Residential Exterior Software: Revit + 3D Max (MR) + Photoshop Website: http://www.bvh.com Description: Hello all - a quick study to show the client how a particular corner of the building will glow at night, accentuating the red wall within. This was about a day and a half of work (with 2 other images). Always looking for ways to improve, so C+C most welcome! Thanks, Ryan
  7. Studio/Institution: Paradigm Client: a2h Genre: Commercial Exterior Software: lightwave Description: These are a few renderings I just finished up at work. It's an addition to a aircraft training facility for fedex. Any comments welcome.
  8. Studio/Institution: stevesideas Client: personal Genre: Residential Exterior Software: 3ds max, vray 2.0 Website: http://www.stevesideas.net Description: I based this image on the summerhouse created by Saunders Architecture. Images of the real thing can be found at: http://architecturelab.net/hardanger-retreat-summer-house-norway-by-saunders-architecture-15103/ This image took a number of months to do in between jobs. All trees were made with growfx, as was the ivy. I used floor generator for the main decking and used the multiexture plugin with some modified rough wood textures from cgtextures. Colour correction was done in aftereffects. I bring in exr images to aftereffects and add effects etc in 32 bit colour. I also add other passes in 32 bit mode if required. Here is a late evening version of the same scene from another angle: Daytime version
