  1. Hi there, I am looking to render a sculptural form, with tens of thousands of plastic bottles. I'm using V-Ray Next on Rhino. I can get an individual bottle to render correctly, but when rendering them together I end up with a big glittery blob. With no means of identifying what the constituent objects are. So I have two questions: A) If you guys were to approach this, what material and render settings might you use? I'm not concerned with realism per se, more the illustration of intent. And; B) Aside from using proxy objects, any advice on making the scene more economic? Thanks
  2. Trying to fabricate a translucent plastic caseholder for a fuji film roll. Inside is a Christmas led light ( IES ). Materials try out; 1. VrayBRDF ; Glass_Coated ; adjustment color white - IOR 1.5 2. VrayBRDFSSS2 ; Plastic_SSS_02 ; adjustment color white – IOR 1.456 3. VrayBRDF ; Plastic_Transucent_01_white ; adjustmment color white - Opacity 0.8 4. Layer Material ; Reflection / Diffuse and Refraction layers 1 & 3 look the most like the original. But it's still not there, room for improvement ! How would you approach this ?
