  1. Hello, I modelled a structure in Rhino with Rhino Script. I simply want to render it with its context in Paris. A simple urban scene render with white blocks of buildings. However, I'm pretty new to Maxwell. Even though I tried many things I couldn't figure out how to have a render as in the reference image attached. My white blocks don't look white. The image looks washed out. I thought it can be because of two things: the white material choice and the sun-atmosphere settings. Even though I played with them I couldn't yet succeed. The image attached is done with default Physical Sky settings with Burn at 0 (yes, figured that out!) EV:13, Time: 13:45 I'd appreciate if someone can help me by explaining the essentials to achieve such a render, colours and effects.
  2. Studio/Institution: Class Project Client: Class Project Genre: Residential Exterior Software: 3dsmax, Mental Ray Description: I am working on this and another project for my 3D animation class (you can see the other project here) I am recreating 6th and Brushy from Austin Texas. As part of the assignment we had to make our own interpretation of the building, so I had to change the exterior materials but other than that is an exact recreation. I am getting close to being happy with the assignment but I know that I can still improve on it. One of the main problems I am having right now is finding a way to make the cars look nicer. Also i am not following the surrounding area exactly for the recreation, because the area around this building in real life is not that interesting, so i made a plain background building for now but I am not sure if it works. This is just a plain render out of mental ray without any post-processing or Photoshop. If you have any advice on that or anything else I could do to improve my render, I would greatly appreciate it.
