  1. i want to hide the yellow line to adjust the view port clipping from my seen without flickering the objects
  2. I've had this problem with mirrored bitmaps not displaying as they should in the viewport. I have no problem with tiled bitmaps. It looks as if the mirrored bitmap is displaying in the viewport at 200% scale of the final render. I am using a NVIDIA Quadro K2000 with latest driver installed. Has anyone else come across this problem? Graphics Card prob? Please refer to attached image (benchtop marble). Graeme
  3. Hi, guys. It's my first post ever, so a big hello. Often found here solutions for my beginner troubles. Now I am sure my question has an answer somewhere here but I am under a lot of time pressure and I found too many posts with "HDRI PROBLEM" tag. So here is the trouble. using: 3d max 2012, vray 2.0 and a bloody night scene HDRI for my night scene. For some strange reason, I cannot see my HDRI in the viewport and therefor, cannot control my scene. I tried all the possible things, now what I did, I exited my scene, and opened a new one, put some balls with some stuff, a vray plane, another HDRI, a vray dome light. Of course, same result. But now, when i try to check the "use Environment Background", it would not let me select it. Vray renders my HDRI and all things are in their place, I just need to move it a little bit, which now is impossible.
  4. Recently I downloaded 3ds Max 2014 trial from autodesk. It worked without any problems for a week. It all started when I updated my Nvidia 630M with a WHQL certified graphics driver. When I opened Max after the driver update it closed with an application error which says that, an error has occurred and the application will now close. Now it opens after a Product Update. But the viewport is completely white. It crashes if I open a file. Tried changing the viewport renderer from Nitrous to direct 3d and open GL. If I do that 3ds Max doesn't even start and gives the same application error. But it works fine even with nitrous viewport if started in Integrated graphics. Someone please give me a solution for this vague error :( Core i5-3210M @ 2.5 GHz Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit sp1 4GB RAM 1GB Nvidia GT630M
  5. Hello, I am building an indoor scene set up with mental ray. When I set up the viewport to the ''realistic'' setting the scene becomes very saturated and light (Not really showing what I expected). But the render looks fine Here is what the viewport looks it looks like: http://www.pasteall.org/pic/58170 If somebody knows what the problem is or has the same problem please let me know. I have 3ds max 2013 x64 - Student Version AMD Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition
  6. Hi experts, need a lil help, your assistance is much appreciated. Please refer to image. Was doing modelling, when i press F3 for smooth highlight mode, it is showing kinda tranlucency, meaning i can see the polyline behind it. I tried to 'merge' the file to other file that is showing the normal smooth highlight, but bizarrely, its adopted the translucent smooth highlight instead. Please Help.
