Description:

Hi everyone,

I've been attempting to put together some work with the intention of applying for jobs in architectural visualization.

I am not sure quite what my portfolio needs to consist of or demonstration in order to get my break with a professional company, so I am hoping you guys could provide some feedback on my work so far, any tips for getting it to a higher standard or any other advice.

The main image is a loose recreation of an interior shot of a building named Casa Tolo designed by architect Alvaro Leite Siza Vieira. It was created with 3ds Max and rendered using Mental Ray.

The second image below is a recreation of a room in my own apartment. It was created with 3ds Max and rendered using V-Ray.

The third image is another loose recreation of Sommerhaus Piu by architects Patrick Frey and Götte Björn. It was created with 3ds Max, Carbon Scatter and rendered using Mental Ray.

and finally a fourth image which is a modern house modeled from imported CAD plans. It was created with 3ds Max and rendered using V-Ray. (I am aware this is the weakest piece and needs some work !)

Thanks Hayden

Thanks for your advice, really appreciate it. Love your work !

I am aware the realism is missing from my work. Would you have any suggestions or details on how to improve what I have already.

I wouldn't sweat realism so much. Technical skill comes by time by working on projects over and over. It can also be sped up by good tutorials ;- ) I stronly suggest looking though EVERY single "Making of" on ronenbekerman.com Some of them are seriously awesome. They are better than most pay for tutorials !

My suggestion to every visualizator is to take interest in architectural photography. We had a thread recently in general forum, look it up, there were some great photographers of modern architecture posted. There isn't better inspiration to take from.
