victorbarbu
Hi. I have these two models in the same scene. Here is the render of each model: Now, my problem is that I don;t know how to incorporate that sink in the box... Could anyone help me? Info: My box is currently an Editable Poly, and I am using 3ds Max 2013. Edited December 26, 2012 by victorbarbu
Umesh Raut
Just pick it up and put it in, so simple. You need to at least mention which program you are using to help anyone understand the issue at hand; and then use its proper forum section. Rest after your input. Umesh Raut
It wasn't, earlier. Now it needs to go to Max section. Anyway, you should puncture the opening in the box, if that's where you want to put the sink in. To get the exact punch, either trace or copy the outline of the sink as a separate object to be used as a Boolean/cookie cutter. But generally the rounded corners hide the platform below those edges, so even a rectangular cut should suffice.
AubreyM
A simple inset/extrude will do the trick.
Ismael
A simple inset/extrude will do the trick. It has been awhile that I dealt with a sink, but that is brilliant Aubrey.

heni30
And if it's crunch time and no one is going to be examining the model closely you can just carefully place the sink on top of the counter. It works! I just tried it and there are no shadow leaks or anything!
