1. Studio/Institution: West Rim Digital Media, Lester Ohio Genre: Residential Interior Software: Blender 2.8 Website: http://https://taholmes160.artstation.com/ Description: Hello Folks: This is a kitchen project that I have been working on for some time. Its modeled after 2 things I saw, the first is the design of the seating area and table – I picked up on that watching an episode of Fixer Upper with Chip and JoAnna Gains. That was really the spring board for the project. I wish I could find a screen cap from that episode, but I havent been able to find one, so I am just going from memory. (theirs was much smaller). The second factor was the lights over the counters (the blue ones) I saw lights like that at a local Applebees one night and decided I had to try modeling them. This is still in progress, but I am looking for some serious critiques. Its really my first foray into the “Modern” kitchen with whites and blacks and greys etc, as I am typically a log cabin modeler and have very heavy use of woods and earth tones. Some of it has turned out looking really good, other parts, I am not so happy with – the composition of the shot from by the sliding glass door is one I really dont like, as well some of the walls and counters seem a bit bare, so I need some suggestions of how to handle that. Additionally, if you see something wrong, it would be really helpful if you could give me some pointers on HOW to fix it – I’m still very much a learner, and want to get better, but in some cases dont know how.! I have seen some projects that have a rendered wireframe shot as well, I dont know yet how to do that, so I’ll be looking (any suggestions appreciated) I have all my stage (step) files as well, and can show you anything you want. Please let me know what will make it easier and more useful to critique. One last request, if you know of any good sites for critiques I would appreciate links, so far I have BlenderArtists, Art Station, and CGArchitect. Thanks for the input
 2. I wanted to ask people engaged in furniture making and manufacturing, more specifically kitchen cabinets, what do you think of web app online 3D kitchen constructor? Here's the example of project I've recently made using this online software (see attachments). What do yu think of its rendering possibilities? http://prodboard.eu/kitchen/ You can try to design a kitchen yourself and share your opinions about whether it worths time spending, or maybe you know some other apps of this kind that you like more.

 5. Studio/Institution: Ruhl Walker Architects Genre: Residential Interior Software: Sketchup Make + Twilight Render Description: Good morning good forum people, I am in the process of rendering a loft-like interior for a project that was never built. I haven't done much photorealistic work before, so I am having some trouble getting to a good place with the imagery. Here is a draft of the view to the kitchen, and as you can see, it looks a little too clean, and doesn't have much life. I worked hard on the materials, including the wood veneers, but I feel like they aren't coming through in the image. Can anyone offer me any direction on this image, where should start to bring this to the next level? I haven't done this enough to know where to go. Thanks Keith

 16. Hi Guys, This is my first kitchen scene and my first post so hello to all. I'm having problems with the reflections in this scene. The cabinet doors are reflecting light from outside but there is a .jpg with trees etc just outside the window behind the vray light. Should this be reflecting in the cabinet doors? I've also got some noise in the handles and also on the LEM stools cant seem to get rid of this. Any help and feedback on the image much appreciated.

This is an interior design project I made for a newlywed couple. The have a 62 m2 (667 sqft) apartment and they wanted to maximize space usage. The images show the kitchen-pantry-studio cabinet & counter design to differenciate areas within a single space, providing good storage room. Lighting and ceiling configurations help create different ambiences. Opinions are welcome. Federico
