Computer overheats while rendering in vary and shutdown ?

So.. Has this ever happened to anyone? What should I do to stop the computer shutting down/ overheating while rendering?

 

Edit-

while rendering the CPU reaches 70+ degrees Celsius ...then shutdowns after a while ...also usually the "normal" temperature when I'm not rendering is usually about 46 degrees Celsius ... Which could be a bit high .? Also I cleaned my fan and heat sink a little before and it did the same render without shutting down but now back to the same problem.

a bit more information would be helpful...

 

- brand/model or components if it is self build. How old is it?

- you could read out your temps ( http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ )

- What are your ambient temps? Looking at your flag i suppose it is... very hot at the moment.

- did you already check mounting and fan of the CPU cooler?

What cooler are you using?

I would believe the stock one. Should still be enough.

 

Make sure the cooler is properly seated on the CPU, with a thin layer of thermal paste (TIM).

If you think you need more cooling, try a Cooler Master 212 tower heatsink, or a 120mm closed water loop (CLC) like a Cooler Master or Corsair.
