  1. Well, I'm glad I waited until after the project was finished. I very much enjoyed first looks at the de-noising and multiple movable render regions and render to texture might be able to help me with... that thing. ANYWAY.... Just wandering around a very recent project looking for interesting places to put a camera I was having renders crash much more frequently than I would have liked. Just curious if anybody else has been running into stability issues with Corona 1.4. Thanks.

    Render Crashes

Hello everyone, I have quite a problem and your help is REALLY appreciated. So the problem is that whenever I try to render the scene - max crashes. I'm getting this error : UNHANDLED EXCEPTION:Irradiance map thread. I know someone posted the same problem some years ago, but it was of no help and I can't find a solution. So everything was fine till yeasterday, I added some materials to the scene and made some quick test renders. Today I added even more materials (I created them in max) and tried to render the scene, but max crashed. No matter what settings I'm using, it's always the same. Also I tried to add same material to all things in the scene but it changed nothing. Same happend when I deleted all lights, there were no changes. I'm using 3d max 2012 and Vray.
  3. Ok, I've found something strange and I want to share with everyone. It's possible that someone experienced this in the past and has no clue what happend, but maybe someone knows more about it and can explain better (and in more details) than me. So does anyone experienced this thing, when max out of the blue starts to work a lot slower, even though you haven't added more objects in the scene or complex materials, or when everything was just fine a minute ago and now you can't render what you created because max crashes all the time you try it? I've found what caused it and I was absolutely surprised. Looks like it happend when I accidentally pressed I have no suggestion on how to correct it. I tried to experiment with it but no such luck. So if anyone knows the reason behind it - share with everyone. I believe someone will appreciate it.
  4. I am rendering an animation for one of my current project and for unknown reason it keep crashing every 5 to 250 frames. Mental Ray error "DB 0.18 fatal: accessing unknown tag 0x2b3a" I had no problem before until this project and I've tried rendering in in both 3ds Max 2011 32 & 64 bit & download a trail version of 2012 and still doing the same. I can't see what in my project I haven't done before that maybe cause this problem. Any ideas guys? Thanks, Peter
