  1. Hi all, I'm new to this forum (and arguably 3d rendering). I'm using 3dsmax 2018 and VRAY_ADV_3.6 on Windows. I'm currently trying to figure out how to set V-Ray environment map in maxscript. I've managed to locate the property I need to set vr.environment_gi_map but not sure how to set it (to for example, VRay sky). Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot!
  2. I've just modeled a space station and I want to render a nice scene of it in the outer space. I am using 3ds Max 2016 and iRay for this. I got an sIBL Milky Way HDRi and added as an Environment Map. This is what I get on a simple render with iRay (a blurry image, for no reason): Accidentally I rendered it with Mental Ray and the map was just as I wanted: Now, I want this image to be clear in the background and I would also like you recommendation about what light source I should use for this (if it is possible that you gave me this tip). Thank you very much!
  3. I use vray 1.5 sp5 in 3ds max to render a vray glass and environment map with vray physical camera. But the Vraysky behind the glass is dark. With 3ds Max standard glass material and Vray physical camera, with normal camera and 3ds max standard material or with Vray glass material and normal camera there is no problem. I post some more pictures and settings with it. How to solve this problem? Thanks! The glass has thickness and I use VraySun. 1.
