  1. Hi, I have a degree in Architecture and since the course development I have been in love with ArchViz. Since then I have been studying with the goal of making this passion my full-time and final profession. I confess that I have been having difficulties getting projects a little more consistently and this is a little frustrating. I started using Blender and fell in love with the way it works. But to work for an archviz company that uses Blender is very difficult, I rarely find one. I live in Brazil and around here I don't know any company that works with it or is flexible allowing the use. The question is: How soon do you think Blender should enter the market for good, or will it?

  4. Hello all! I am looking for someone experienced, based in Australia who wouldn't mind consulting me over certain queries i am having regarding opportunities, jobs, and most importantly, the dreaded visa. I looked up the list and there are more than 29 types which one can apply for, but our industry does not fall in any of the skilled categories. Send me a message and i shall get in touch.
  5. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am going to start applying for junior/middleweight arch viz jobs and have an online folio already. Many job advertisements will ask for a pdf of best work/portfolio. Is there any problem do you think with just giving a link to online folio, or are they likely not click it out of principle that they asked for a pdf? while my website is primarily focused on viz it also has other sections like vfx/animation/blog,wips ect, which imo can always add a little extra to the applicant, but It doesn't feel right putting that kind of stuff in a pdf folio. Thanks for any advice
  6. Hi there It may have been covered in another thread but does anyone know of any UK based recruitment agencies in the CG World? Thanks!
  7. Hello friends, I am a SFX artist, usually work with Maya fluid, Real Flow and Naiad. I use many other software used in industry to get the output. While showing my demo of a SFX shot, the Supervisor said you don't have a final output. So I started concentrating on Rendering (as I was already studying how any rendering software works internally, and a background of film and computer science was helpful). I found I am able to get good images in less time. So I thought is it ok to change the field? Here in India they pay 250$ - 600$ /month to a fx artist. If you are really good and company is big, you can get 700-950$/month. Can I earn more in Architect Rendering?
