  1. Hello Everyone, I started doing some archviz jobs this past year, even though my background is in sculpture, and I originally thought I would be using V-Ray for Sketchup, so I went ahead and bought a license for it. However, I've since found that using Blender and the Cycles render engine is easier for me. So, that said, I'm selling my V-Ray v2.0 license and dongle. If you're interested, I'll post the link to my ebay post where I'm selling it. I'm pricing it to sell. Cheers! http://www.ebay.com/itm/V-ray-v2-0-for-Sketchup-license-and-dongle-/252857977676?hash=item3adf828b4c:g:0GQAAOSwls5Y7OqT
  2. Hello CG World, I am in the process of starting my first business, and would appreciate some feedback on the legal aspect of things. In a nutshell, the business will provide digital documentation (images/drawings) of existing spaces (mostly rental properties) to be used in the marketing and advertising of said space. A couple things I need to consider: 1) Requiring written credit (to me) with all usages of the image 2) Fee - flat rate per image, or royalty/usage based fee? (I'm guessing flat rate) 3) Copyright Release or Usage Agreement? (Artist License Agreement?) 4) Examples or templates of contracts that I can modify for my use Any other thoughts on this would be well appreciated. Thanks!

    VRay Licenses

Hello, Hi guys, At the moment we have 8 computers with VRay licenses pointed to a WIBU dongle on one of the slave PC's we have. We need to send 2 or 3 of the computers to another location for our artists to work on them there. How can we make sure that VRay will still work on these computers there. Will the need another WIBU dongle? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  4. We recently had a situation on a job where images were produced for the client in order to get sign-off from their bosses on the design. They were very successful, in fact they loved them so much they have been using them everywhere! Graphic panels on site, promotional leaflets about the refurbishment, invites to the grand opening etc. Some of this is fairly standard I suppose (billboards e.g.) but it got us thinking that they have had a lot of mileage out of these that wasn't really part of the original scope. I work for a design agency doing mostly interiors. Visualisation is an add-on service and we don't have a separate agreement/contract for this. How do you guys handle things? Do you restrict usage of your images? Do you have a standard licence agreement similar to photographers that goes out with your images?
  5. Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone's interested in buying forest pack pro? Since buying 2 or more licences at the same time gives us 25% off. So it'll be a win-win for both of us. Please let me know if anyone's interested. I'll be possibly posting this in other forums if I didn't get any answer, but thanks anyway for reading. CGarchitectUser
  6. I'm a complete noob when it comes to network rendering via Backburner, I have read a lot about it but still haven't tried it out. That being said, I am looking to purchase ForestPack Pro for our office on one network license. Can I still render out my renderings on the render nodes via backburner with only one network license of the ForestPack Pro plugin? I'm playing around with the Lite version at the moment and the Library of objects are saved locally on my machine. Do you guys move these to a place on the server for network renderings?
