green
Hello. I'm using Vray for 3dsMax2010. I was going to compose CG on a photograph, so I created a plane to receive shadow and reflection and GI of the CG, and it set a matte object from a Vray properties, and render it. I seemed to receive both reflection and GI properly visually. but it was only a shadow when it watched an alpha channel. How can I do? attached image: Vray properties settings http://img10.hostingpics.net/pics/864850Upload01.png rendered image http://img10.hostingpics.net/pics/949907Upload02.png alpha channel http://img10.hostingpics.net/pics/162607Upload03.png Thanks
stormchaser
why dont you try using vraymatte material instead of editing plane's matter properties.

stormchaser
my bad, vray matte does not have reflection in alpha, youll have to do a separate pass for reflections.
green
I tried to output VRayReflection and VRayGlobalIllumination from Render Elements. I would like to composite them with Adobe AfterEffects. how to do it? http://img10.hostingpics.net/pics/654414Render.png http://img10.hostingpics.net/pics/888087VRayReflection.png http://img10.hostingpics.net/pics/795358VRayGlobalIllumination.png
stormchaser
what type of alpha does the reflection pass have? your teapot has reflection as well hence in reflection pass you see the reflection on teapot as well along with teapot's reflection on the ground. check this thread on chaosgroup, its helpful for reflection passes. http://www.chaosgroup.com/forums/vbulletin/showthread.php?41312-Reflection-Alpha
