hoseinasadi
hey guyz, ive been trying to apply a wet to look to my texture, took the texture into PS and painted few areas in white/light grey so they'd appear wet. however after i get a render the white/light grey areas appear as dark spots over my texture. here's a photo to illustrate what i mean. any idea what i might be doing wrong? Chris MacDonald
Well VRay is energy conserving; the more reflective a surface is, the less diffuse value it has. You need something for it to reflect, rather than just black.
hoseinasadi
Well VRay is energy conserving; the more reflective a surface is, the less diffuse value it has. You need something for it to reflect, rather than just black. so if i just add-in a sky into environment slot the black areas will reflect the sky ? basically im trying to create a kitchen floor that's partially wet ~ Edited December 19, 2013 by hoseinasadi
CJI
Or you could put a map in the environment slot of the floor material if you just want that material to reflect it. Depends how you want the final to look.
