  1. I've never been a fan of this way of thinking. Revit, V-Ray, 3ds Max,... are all just tools. If you think you will lose clients because of a new tool or technology maybe it's because you are not doing a good job and need to work a little bit more on your skills.
  2. Here's my contribution: http://www.ejezeta.cl/category/modelos-3d/ Cheers!
  3. Thanks for the explanation Ismael Maybe in the future there will be an English version too, if everything goes well. In the meantime you can always use the translation tools from Google, they do a very good job with that Cheers!
  4. Hey, guys! I've been working on this website for the past 6 months. It's got a huge collection of links to free resources shared by different artists and companies, like textures, hdri's, scripts, cutouts, free 3d models, etc. It's in spanish but navigation is very easy. http://www.ejezeta.cl/category/recursos/ Have a look, you won't disappointed Cheers!
Con esto "You only need each 3dsmax to have the same external paths list for each node", te refieres a que cada folder y subfolder debieran ser las mismas en cada pc, cierto? Los mismos nombres? De manera tal que el node principal lea en c:/texturas/cielo.hdri, por ejemplo, y el node secundario, lo mismo, pero en su propio disco c:? Saludos!
  7. I will try that fco. If anything, i'll let you know. Thanks!
  8. Hello guys. I know this has been discussed many times, but I have already gone through all the possible forums looking for an answer and still no results. After a lot of struggle to get the vray distributed rendering to work I still cant figure out why the textures aren't working for the node computer. I've already tried UNC paths. One of the possible solutions I found was something related to services permissions (manage), but I could find the vray spawner service that the forums mentioned. I understand DR is working, since at least the other pc is rendering. Please help!
  9. Ismael. The problem was due to the fact that the material of the leaves had grey, instead of black, in the refraction settings. I don't really know why that was an issue but it seems to be working fine now. Thank you very much for your help.
  10. This is the image I get. There are some green blotches and white dots in the trees. I already tried to remove the hdri from environment but got the same problem.
  11. Hi Ismael. I already tried that but i didn't work.
  12. Hi guys. I've trying to solve and issue with vray all morning with no possitive result so far. I wonder if someone could help me. The thing is that when i render my exterior view i get a few splotches on it. I've heard that it could be something with the hdri. I'm using one of the non commercial hdri images from VIzPEople. Does anybody know how to fix this? It all seems to work just fine with lower output resolutions, like 800x600, but when going for 3000x... The splotches appear. I would really appreciate any advice on how to solve this. Thanks!
  13. I just noticed that the normals in the element are flipped. Could that be the reason why im having problems with the mapping when importing to Max?
  14. Wow! That would be really nice, Abhay. Unfortunately I'm using Max 2011, but it's great to know, since a lot of people make their models in sketchup. I guess i'll have to do what Adam is suggesting, though. Thanks for the info!
  15. Thank both for your answers! Ill try both solutions. Salvador, I have no idea why the right curb imported flawlessly, and the one on the left didn't. I was thinking about your first solution, but since i'm new to modeling in 3ds didn't know if that was too difficult to do. I'll give it a try. Dhammika, i'll try your solution too. Thanks a lot guys. Much appreciated.
