  1. Hi I am wondering if I want to use the feature "distributed rendering" in vray next with 3ds max 2019. Do i need to install max with vray on every system on network ? or this feature would only use RAM of those systems on network ? If yes I need to install, is it possible to render on my system but using only ram of other systems ? I am asking this silly question because its a long process of installing max with vray on all other system Thanks

  3. I have been working on a new pc for the last month at work & all the renders after saving (jpeg) come out blurred. But when I do it with the same settings at home it comes out absolutely crisp. Can anybody tell me what the problem is? FYI my work pc is 64 bit,Max 2009 & vray but my home pc is 32 bit, Max design 2009 & vray.

  5. hello i'm new here and this is my first post. i'm also new to 3ds max. i'm trying to create a royal frame for paintings on the walls but now i have a problem! the paintings are not the same in size so the frames are not the same size either. the problem is that i want to create a real frame which means 4 different sides and each side have a 45 degree angle. i created a box which represents my frame side and then applied an Edit Mesh to it. but now i can't resize it anymore because of the 45 degree angle. i tried to connect the cutted edges to each other but that didn't help. now i'm wondering is there anyway to resize the edited mesh without losing your edits?? basically the idea is to create a base edited poly and then copy it and resize or rotate the cloned poly or apply different material to it to suit my needs which is different royal frames in this case.

  10. Hello, I'm trying to use a displacement map on a scene made in 3ds Max and rendered in Fryrender. In the Fryrender material editor, the preview shows the displacement map working just fine. However, when I use the material in my 3ds Max scene the displacement map does not work. I've tried increasing the displacement height to huge numbers and there's still no displacement. I've even tried scaling the model up and down, but still nothing. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for looking!
