  1. Only changed the default setting in refelctions ; 1. texture editor - default bitmap texfresnel replaced by none 2. texture editor - parralel color to white ( 255 ) 3. texture editor - IOR 1,55 set to 50 4. general reflection - 1,0 set to 50 5. other method ?? Test setup ; method 1,2 & 4 gives good mirror results. Method 4 has a red ( 255 ) glare. I,m confused, because this is a method a lot of tutorials recommend. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvfhfYz2QWc ) Which method would you use and why ?

  3. Hi guys and girls, Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this. I have been given a challenge of creating a Vray material with an LED light that shines thorough it (like the image attached). The material in real life is called corian. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-M0nYCjMSoKA/UKKfWLMHcnI/AAAAAAAABUU/Ieif2CvOy8o/s293/corian+image+%28forum%29.jpg I understand that i would probably have to use a double sided material but I'm unsure how to go about creating this effect! Can anyone help me out pretty please!? thank you!!!!
  4. Hi Guys, seems that when I import an object, or load a material from an existing library, or library from a max file, I get the material, but the textures are missing, and all that I have in the diffuse slot is JPEG, without any paths to where it came from. All the textures are located on an network server, and all computers have full access and sharing rights. Not to sure if it something about the " convert files to UNC ", but I have never used this option before and things have seem to work previously. Not to sure if this is a vray issue as all materials I use are vray, again never had this issue before even with Vray materials. This is doing my head in, can someone help me out. Thanks
