  1. Studio/Institution: BVH Architects Genre: Other Software: Revit + Photoshop Website: http://www.bvh.com Description: Hi all, I've been trying to develop a sketchy style for a Revit to Photoshop workflow. This image is REALLY low resolution - just a quick (30 minute) effort to get the style across. Thoughts?
  2. Studio/Institution: architectural ART studio Client: None. I teach sketching to American students in Italy Genre: Other Software: Ink, markers and color pencils Website: http://www.architecturaARTstudios.com Description: This sketch is a labor of love and literally took me four years and three trips to Vicenza to complete. I'm a huge fan of Andrea Palladio. I have the good fortune to teach architectural sketching to American students in Florence and Venice during the summers. While I am on site I have to help my students, so each time I visited the Villa Rotonda I was able to keep piecing it together, little by little. I remember Frank Ching once telling me how difficult it was years later to go back and edit his hand lettered texts because his lettering style changed with time. I to had a hard time, once I started the sketch and then literally two years had passed, lighting conditions had changed and so did the brand of pens I brought with me. I have a matching sketch of Palladio's Villa Barbaro that I completed over a period of several years and I hope someday to complete a Triptic of Palladio's Villas. My other fascination is to sketch Castles, I have a few completed in the same style and medium as the Villa Rotunda. Hopefully, more to come.
  3. Studio/Institution: GWJ Architecture Genre: Commercial Exterior Software: Cinema 4D, Vray; Photoshop Website: http://www.gwj.ch Description: Hello there, heres a Concept viz i did last week. Time sced was really short (as usual) so there was not much space for any details, it was just to show the main concept and idea of the building. The different colors stand for different shops in the building. greets Yama
  4. I've been playing around with developing an action that will give a pencil sketch look to my renders and wanted to share the results. I think it looks a lot more realistic than the standard filters. Feel free to give it a try and see what you think.
