  1. Hello I work in interior design and I spend 70% of the time in creating the scene, 25% rendering and 5% postprocesing in Photoshop. Because I don't only render, I need some power for viewport performance too. I'm currently using SketchUp with VRay but I want to make the transition to 3dsMax with V-Ray. I want to buy a new system and the budget is about 1000 USD for the entire system. The question is: what should I focus on, GPU or CPU? Should I go with an i7 7700k or Ryzen 7 1700 and a GTX 1050 or weaker, or should I go with some i5 and a GTX 1050Ti or GTX 1060. I found various benhmarks here, but they seem to contradict each other. What is your opinion? Thanks!
  2. Hi, I am new to the forum and somewhat new to the 3ds max rendering scene. I look foward to reading everyones posts and checking out thier images. I am currently looking to build a new system specifically for modeling and rendering and am seeking expert advice on specs that i shouldl try to achieve on Computer parts. So... Let me know what specs make the most differece in rendering. Thanks! Kelly!
