  1. hello everyone, I've recently created a parametric array modifier for 3ds max. I think it may be very useful for many peoples workflows. please check it out and see if it's useful for yours Use for all sorts of parametric placement needs. Linear or radial arrays are common, but also various oscillating arrays. You can add random variation to any array. You can even use a path to control array placement. The array can be used on various object types such and shapes or poly/mesh geometry. You can even instance it across various object types to get synchronized arrays. Use it to array complex repeating topology and weld it together later. There’s also a number of animation features you can use to get some cool motion graphics. There’s even some advanced features for controlling material ids or offsetting UV’s. Take a look at the documentation for more information: https://1drv.ms/b/s!AF8vbEk-7BagjMo4 also check out a little video of the modifier in action! you can access the product page here: https://apps.autodesk.com/ACD/en/Detail/Index?id=7221085778557027350&appLang=en&os=Win64 I hope the price is fair for the value it brings. please let me know if you have any comments or questions, i'm always open to feedback. also, check out my friend Henning Lande's artwork: https://landetls.artstation.com/ . his feedback drove many of the best features in the modifier.
  2. hey all, very new to this board, but it seems like this place has a lot of knowledge. I work in c4d, and would like to do some arch. renderings. But am wondering about how to do more parametric design in an architecural setting, with cinema. I have done some research and seems like Fusionthing or Paracloud GEM are two options, but it there really isn't any info on them since about 2009. Are they still being supported? The paracloud website isn't even working. Anyway, I guess I am just looking for anyone who has come across this question before, and how it was handled. thanks in advance! mb
  3. Check out this awesome 3d workshop: http://algorithmicdesignworkshops.wordpress.com/2011/10/04/algorithmic-landscapes-gh-advanced-modeling-workshop-october-2011-ecologicstudio/ The workshop is run by a couple of cool architects who also tutor at the Architectural Association. I am hoping that they can run the workshop during the week 7 to 12 of May when I am in town, but they need more participants. It is only £225+ tax for three evenings and one Saturday. If you are interested drop them an email asap.
  4. I need a fairly large script written for 3ds Max and don't really have the time to learn how to write scripts right now (as much as I would like to). I was wondering if there was any service, individual or company that writes MAXScript. Sorry if this is a stupid question but I really need help. I need the script to streamline creation of simple objects based on length, width and height parameters. So is there a script-writing service available out there?
